Terms of Service

1. The service

CleanWhiteBG ("the service") removes image backgrounds and replaces them with a white or transparent background, using AI processing. Free use of Standard mode is provided at preview resolution (up to 480px); credits unlock full-resolution downloads and additional features such as Quality mode.

2. Accounts

Browsing and free Standard-mode processing work without an account. An account (via Google sign-in or a magic link sent to your email) is required for paid features. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account; keep your sign-in links private — anyone with a magic link can access your account.

3. Credits and paid plans

• Paid processing consumes credits: 1 credit per full-resolution Standard image and 3 credits per Quality image. Unlocking the full-resolution download of a previously processed image costs 1 credit.
• Subscriptions grant a monthly credit allowance that resets at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance does not roll over.
• One-time credit packs do not expire and remain usable while your account exists.
• Credits have no cash value and are not transferable between accounts. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice for future periods.

4. Billing and cancellation

Payments are processed by our payment provider Creem. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel any time — cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current period; credits already granted remain usable. Plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing period.

5. Refunds

• If a processing job fails for technical reasons, the credits it consumed are automatically returned to your balance.
• For one-time credit packs, contact us within 14 days of purchase if you have not used any credits from the pack and we will refund it.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time as described above; the current period is not prorated or refunded. Refunds beyond these cases may be considered on request.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload, process, or distribute via the service any content that:

• is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene — adult and NSFW content of any kind is strictly prohibited, regardless of the age of the people depicted;
• sexualizes minors or involves child sexual abuse material (absolute zero-tolerance, reported to the relevant authorities);
• depicts non-consensual intimate imagery, or is used to create non-consensual sexual or nude edits of real people ("nudify" abuse);
• is unlawful, or that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others;
• depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism, or hateful harassment of any person or group;
• is used to create misleading or fraudulent material, including deceptive edits or impersonation of real people;
• contains malware or other malicious code.

In addition, you agree not to: circumvent usage limits, resolution limits or access controls, or automate access outside documented interfaces; or resell or redistribute the service itself without written permission.

This list is not exhaustive: we may also suspend or terminate accounts that upload any other content we deem inappropriate for the service, to the extent technically necessary and without prejudice to further legal remedies.

7. Your content and rights

You retain all rights to the images you upload. You grant us only the limited, temporary licence needed to store and process them to deliver the service (see our Privacy Policy for deletion timelines). You own the processed results; we claim no rights over them.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify or discontinue features, and may change credit costs for future periods with reasonable notice. AI output quality can vary between images; results may not always meet expectations, and failed jobs are refunded as described in section 5.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement). We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. On termination, remaining credits are forfeited except where required otherwise by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
